Wipes system supplier S&S Specialty Systems introduced its Cheetah production line to the industry at an open house event in February. “With this latest Cheetah line, we demonstrated our modular technology customized for particular interfolded wipes converting requirements,” said company president Patrick St. Germain. “We also featured our ‘low mass dancer’ technology which adds quality and efficiency to run every type of fabric, including lightweight and very stretchy nonwovens.”

S&S production lines for interfolded nonwoven products can be customized for applications including wet, dry or coated materials; skin care and surface wipes; anti-static, treated and specialty products. “Working with customers’ budgets, we can accommodate needs for line speeds, numbers and sizes of parent rolls unwound into the line, folding configurations and finished packaging,” says Tom Gazdik, marketing director. “We were able to show many of the options for visitors at our Open House prior to the latest production line shipping out.”    

S&S Specialty Systems has patents pending around its technology, including the low mass dancer section which it incorporates on production lines after the unwind and prior to folding to gain higher speed results without distortion of the material.
